Let us pray that Harper will deem such an award to Morgentaler too divisive nationally and intervene. In such a situation it is good to remember that more is accomplished at Mass than anywhere else. If Henry Morgentaler is presented with the ward, then its merit is diminished for all who have and for those who will receive the award. Morgentaler has done much harm to Canada and to its citizens. It is impossible to put words to the damage done when a country kills its most vulnerable and creates a life of sadness for those who carry the burden of losing an unborn child. This is not what the Order of Canada is about. Should Morgentaler refuse the Order of Canada this would surely help to Canadians harmed by abortion to forgive him and it it would perhaps help to redeem Morgentaler himself. This is my prayer request to our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the unborn, and to St. Joseph, patron saint of Canada. Dear Father Michael,
